Using Pebble
Pebble helps you connect email accounts, sync mail, read and search messages, compose and send email, organize messages, use rules, and manage mail workflows locally on your device.
You are responsible for the accounts you connect, the messages you send, and the actions you take through Pebble.
Email Providers and Third-Party Services
When you connect Gmail, Outlook, IMAP/SMTP, translation providers, WebDAV servers, or other services, your use of those services is also governed by their own terms and policies. Pebble only requests access needed for the features you choose to use.
For Gmail, Pebble may act on your behalf to sync, send, modify labels, archive, trash, restore, delete, or manage drafts when you use those features.
Privacy
Your use of Pebble is also covered by the Pebble Privacy Policy, which explains how data is accessed, stored, used, and shared.
Open Source License
Pebble is released under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. The license governs copying, modification, distribution, and network use of the source code. These terms do not replace the open source license.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Pebble to violate laws, abuse email providers, send spam, infringe others' rights, bypass security controls, or access accounts without authorization.
Backups and Data Responsibility
Email clients handle sensitive data. You are responsible for maintaining backups of important mail and for verifying account actions with your provider when needed. Optional WebDAV backup is controlled by the server and credentials you provide.
No Warranty
Pebble is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. The software may contain bugs, provider behavior may change, and mail operations may fail. Use Pebble at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Pebble developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business arising from your use of Pebble.
Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new update date.
